Equity Red Star offers Motorcycle Insurance to residents of the UK. Authorized and regulated by the Financial Services Authority, Equity Red Star is managed by Equity Syndicate Management Ltd. Three levels of Motorcycle Insurance are offered by Equity Red Star to suit all needs and budgets.

The least amount of insurance a motorcyclist can get by with having is Third Party Only. A Third party Only Motorcycle Insurance policy covers you for liability to others and their personal belongings as well as foreign use.

Per incident, Equity Red Star will only pay £20,000,000 in property damages for any one claim or claims as a result of one incident. Cost and expenses that occur as a result of property damage is only covered up to £500,000,000 per incident.

Foreign use is limited to trips of no longer than sixty days and only applies when your permanent residence is Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

The next level of Motorcycle Insurance offered by Equity Red Star is Third Party Fire and Theft. In conjunction with liability to other and foreign use, this policy includes loss of damage to the insured motorcycle. Accidental or malicious damage as well as vandalism are not covered under this policy.

There is a limit of £100 worth of cover on spare parts and fitted accessories as long as they are part of your vehicle. Personal belongings such as crash helmets are not covered under this policy.

Damage to your motorcycle or contents as a result of theft or attempted theft due to improperly securing the vehicle, such as leaving the keys in it, are not covered as a part of your policy.

An Equity Red Star Comprehensive Motorcycle Insurance Policy is the most motorcycle insurance offered by the company. Not only will your policy cover everything stated above, but it will also include foreign use. Foreign use is limited to trips of no longer than sixty days and only applies when your permanent residence is Great Britain, Northern Ireland, the Channel Islands or the Isle of Man.

Equity Red Star offers Motorcycle Insurance as a twelve-month policy contract. Yearly, the contract must be renewed and it is subject to the terms and conditions at the time of renewal.

Within fourteen days of signing a policy with Equity Red Star, you can choose to cancel your policy with no penalties provided your vehicle has not been written off as a result of a claim under the insurance. Simply send a letter stating you wish to cancel along with the policy certificate. You will be subject to paying for the amount of time you had the policy with a minimum of £15 plus the Insurance Premium Tax.

Claims must be reported as soon as possible after they happen. By calling the twenty-four hour helpline at 0844 800 1932, you can report a claim twenty-four hours a day.

Car Assist

If your vehicle breaks down during your travels, Motor Breakdown Insurance is a good thing to have. Equity Red Star makes alternate arrangements on your behalf to ensure you are back on your way in no time flat.

When you have inconvenient vehicle troubles, Equity Red Star makes arrangements to pay call-out fees as well as labour charges to have you back on your way as fast and smoothly as possible.

Included in a Car Assist policy, you, your vehicle and as many as four other passengers are taken to a destination of your choosing if your vehicle breaks down.

Should you be unable to start your vehicle in your own yard, Equity Red Star arranges and pays for call-out fees and labour charges needed to get your vehicle started.

If you are farther than twenty-five miles from home and your vehicle breaks down and is unable to be repaired, you are covered under an Equity Red Star Car Assist policy. If you need to press forward with your travels, reimbursement is paid for alternate accommodations. If you need to stay overnight in the area your vehicle is being repaired in, these costs are covered as well.

Up to £100 is included under the Car Assist policy or alternate road, rail or air travel or funds used to hire a car to ensure you and your party reaches your scheduled destination as well as a safe return. Alternatively, the cost for you and as many as four passengers for overnight hotel accommodations may be reimbursed.

Under the Car Assist policy, caravan and trailer service is entitled to the same coverage and service provided it is attached to the vehicle.

If you receive help through the Rescue Control Centre, messaging service is provided to contact friends, family members or colleagues to inform them of your situation.

The Equity Red Star Car Assist policy has a contract period of twelve months. At the end of twelve months the policy can be renewed subject to terms and conditions.

A twenty-four hour Rescue Control Centre number is available anytime you need assistance. Simply call 00 800 999 00 999 and one of the friendly and knowledgeable representatives will assist in providing the help you need. When calling the Rescue Control Centre, please give the representative your policy number and name for assistance.

A fourteen-day withdrawal period applies to the Car Assist policy. This means if for whatever reason you decide to cancel you policy within fourteen days there will be no penalties. Any unused premium will be refunded, subject to a minimum premium of £15 and any Insurance Premium Tax.

Freeway Rescue

An Equity Red Star Motor Breakdown Freeway Rescue policy provides coverage for a vehicle that cannot be driven as a result of a breakdown while traveling. Call-out fees and labour charges incurred in order to get the vehicle back and running are covered.

Should the vehicle break down farther than twenty-five miles from your home without the ability of being repaired, the cost of going forward with your travels or overnight accommodations will be reimbursed. Reimbursement is paid for the cost of alternative road, rail or air travel or a hire car to get you and as many as four passengers safely to your destination.

If you use the Rescue Control Centre to call for help, messages can be relayed to your friends, family or colleagues to let them know of your situation.

A Freeway Rescue Plus policy includes the above-mentioned coverage as well as a few extra options. Recovery is included. Costs associated with moving your vehicle, and you and as many as four others to the place of your choice are also included.

If you are unable to get your vehicle to start at your own home, arrangements are made by Equity Red Star to pay for call-out service and labour required to get your vehicle back up and running.

Caravans and small trailers carry the same coverage provided they are attached to the vehicle. Equity Red Star Motor Breakdown Freeway Rescue and Freeway Rescue Plus are valid for a contract period of twelve months. At the end of the twelve months you can choose to have your policy renewed subject to current terms and conditions.

This means if for whatever reason you decide to cancel you policy within fourteen days there will be no penalties. Freeway Value

The Equity Red Star Motor Breakdown Freeway Value policy provides coverage for when your vehicle cannot be driven as a result of a breakdown. Arrangements are made to call for Roadside Assistance and pay fees associated with the call-out and labour charges to get your car back up and running.

Should your vehicle break down when you are more than twenty-five miles away from home and it is unable to be repaired, the cost of continuing to your destination for you and as many as four others is reimbursed as part of your policy coverage. Alternatively, overnight accommodations for you and as many as four others may be reimbursed instead.

Recovery Service is included to take you and as many as four other people to any one place of your choice.

When you arrange for help through the Rescue Control Centre, messaging service is available to contact friends, family members and colleagues to inform them of your situation.

The Freeway Value Plus policy includes everything mentioned in the Freeway Value policy along with Home Service and Caravan/Trailer coverage. Home Service means if your vehicle will not start at your own home, call-out fees and labour charges are included in your policy to get your vehicle started and to get you on your way.

Caravan and trailers are included in the Equity Red Star Motor Breakdown Freeway Value Plus policy provided they are attached to the insured vehicle.

The Freeway Value and Freeway Value Plus policies are enforced as part of the contract for twelve months. At the end of the twelve-month period, the policy may be renewed subject to terms and conditions.
