WHEN it comes to motorcycles our hottest stars just can’t get enough of sleek, powerful action.

Fast, feisty and glamorous …and that’s just the motorcycles, celebrities’ love of the motorcycle shows no sign of abating. This week Motorcycle Insurance takes a look at some of hottest celebrities behind the hottest wheels.

DAVID DUCHOVNY

The X Files actor has revealed that he is separated from his wife Tea Leoni.

The couple have released a statement confirming their separation, amid speculation that their marriage came to an end when Duchovny's checked into rehab for sex addiction.

"In light of continuous speculation over the lives and marriage of Tea Leoni and David Duchovny, the couple have confirmed that they have in fact been separated for several months. The couple had hoped to keep this separation private for the sake of their children, says their agent.”

Duchovny, who currently plays a womaniser in the TV series Californication, has been married since 1997 to Bad Boys actress Leoni and has a son and a daughter.

The star cut a solitary figure last week, driving around New York alone on his Vespa scooter.

GALE HAROLD
The Desperate Housewives actor is in a critical condition in an LA hospital following a motorcycle accident.

Harold fractured his shoulder and is awaiting further tests at USC Medical Centre, says a hospital spokeswoman. According to Housewives creator and executive producer Marc Cherry, Harold has swelling on the brain, but is expected to make a full recovery.

Harold appears on Housewives as a love interest for Teri Hatcher's character, Susan. He was scheduled to be on set this week after filming scenes for a key Housewives episode set to air soon. Producers have confirmed they will wait for the actor's prognosis before deciding how to proceed.

MADONNA
The father of Madonna’s daughter, Lourdes, says he is as surprised as anyone that his former lover is divorcing her husband Guy Ritchie.

The pop superstar and film director husband have confirmed they are to divorce after several months of speculation that their marriage is on the rocks.

The couple have been under intense media scrutiny after rumours that Madonna enjoyed a tryst with New York baseball star Alex 'A-Rod' Rodriguez.

Carlos Leon, father of Madonna's 12-year-old daughter says he wasn’t informed of their decision to divorce. He says: "I heard it when you heard it. That kind of the stuff like, 'Whoa!' I stay away from, even if she wasn't my friend.

"It's none of my business really. So I stay away from it. All I know is I support Madonna and Guy and of course my daughter and all the children as best I can."

Leon says divorced parents should take a leaf out of his and Madonna’s book - because remaining friendly with an ex is always best for any kids involved.

He adds, "Parents should learn from us in that way. Any parent that stays friends, it's really good, it's good for the children, it's good for family values, it's good for a lot of reasons…You gotta keep it mutual and try to keep it cool."

Meanwhile, Madonna has splashed out on a £12,500 vintage BMW motorbike and sidecar for Ritchie in spite of issuing divorce proceedings.

The star sourced the limited edition 1938 vintage BMW R71, after scouring a string of collectable bike dealers.

QUNICY JONES
The Music legend refuses to part with thousands of celebrity gifts he has collected over the years because they remind him of many of the great and the good that have passed on.

Jones says he has lost 138 friends over the last two years and doesn’t have the heart to part with any of their gifts.

"I held on to all Alex Haley's letters... and my bracelet from Ray Charles, and Marlon Brando's letters and tapes, says Quincy, who fondly remembers words Frank Sinatra said when the two were working together.

"(He said) 'Q, live every day like it's your last and one day you'll be right.'"

The 75 year old motorcycle fan admits he still has too much to do, including nine movie scores, three albums and some new languages to master. He adds, "I'm learning Mandarin and Arabic."

DAVID BECKHAM
The former housekeepers accused of stealing Victoria and David Beckham’s personal items have been quick to deny their involvement.

June and Eric Emmett, former housekeepers at the Beckham's mansion in Hertfordshire - were taken into police custody last week. Another man, believed to be their son, has also been arrested and bailed until next month.

However, the couple insist they love the former Spice Girl and would never do anything to hurt her.

"I love Victoria to bits and I would never do anything to harm her, says June Emmett: “Deep down I think she must know that:

"I've known her and her family for years. She is a successful woman and I admire her. They have always taken care of us."

The investigation centres on allegations that personal items belonging to the former Spice Girl and her soccer ace husband were posted for sale on internet auction website eBay. They were believed to include designer clothes, sportswear, and a pair of Beckham’s football boots.

In other news, celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay wants to buy David Beckham a motorbike. The plan is for Ramsay to supply the two wheels for Becks so the soccer ace can join him and Hollywood star Tom Cruise on an up-coming trip. “Gordon's been riding for years, says a source: “He was thrilled to discover Becks is a fan too. Gordon told Victoria he'd like to get David a bike for his birthday, and then get him along on a road trip.

“Apparently Beckham already has a Harley V-Rod. But Gordon joked he would need something a bit meatier if he's going to go on a bike trek with him and Tom.”

Cruise recently hit the headlines when he beat Brad Pitt by stumping stumping up £40,000 for one of the first Ducati Desmosedicis in the US.

PINK
The pop star is reportedly unhappy with Katy Perry’s hit song I kissed a girl - because she believes the track "trivialises" lesbianism.

Pink says that while she thinks the sexy singer Perry is "f**king awesome" - she won't be playing her music. And Pink, born Alecia Moore, admits that many of her lesbian pals are offended by the song's sentiment.

"What did I think of Perry's song? Says Pink “I thought I Kissed a Girl was trivialising being gay. I've been speaking to my gay girlfriends about it, and they're kinda put off by it - "I'm not judging and comparing, though."

In other news, the star has split with her husband motocrosser Carey Hart.

"Pink and Carey Hart have separated," says her agent: "This decision was made by best friends with a huge amount of love and respect for one another. While the marriage is over, their friendship has never been stronger."

VICTORIA BECKHAM
The former Spice Girl is taking motorbike lessons. Beckham, who was spotted earlier this week dressed in black leather, is believed to have been obsessed with bikes for several years and was overjoyed when soccer ace husband David surprised her with a course of lessons.

"Victoria has always had a thing about motorbikes, says a source: They're iconic and you can't help but look cool on one. She always dreamed of riding one but obviously it's a dangerous and time-consuming hobby."

"With her career and the kids she never thought to learn until David surprised her with the lessons."

"This teacher is so good he doesn't even advertise and there's a waiting list of over a year to get a starter course, so David pulled some strings."

“Victoria is nervous but looking forward to speeding down the Pacific Coast Highway to Malibu and around the Hollywood Hills in big old boots."

ANGELINA JOLIE
The stunning star has been working hard to regain her perfect body after giving birth to twins Knox and Vivienne last July.

And according to reports, her son Maddox, has been helping - by teaching her all about virtual Pilates on his Nintendo DS computer.

"The kids were convincing her that video games were more than just fun, says a source: “They explained to her that you can do anything from practice math to learn to read music and exercise, says a source.

"She tries to get in an hour of Pilates three times a week. She's picking it up pretty quickly and is already at the hardest setting."

Meanwhile, Jolie had a narrow escape last week when the car carrying the star peeled from a traffic signal to avoid paparazzi, knocking down a man on a motorcycle.

The bruised teen seemed unhurt and was able to walk away from the accident. One onlooker days Jolie was reading Crimes of War: What the Public Should Know when the incident occurred.

PARIS HILTON
The hotel heiress is regretting her fame and admits she doesn’t want to have the most famous faces on the planet.

The reality TV star is recognised across the globe, and is well known for lapping up fame and fortune.

But she admits she dreams about blending in, and sometimes even tries to travel in disguise.

"I try to sometimes travel, says the Hollywood chopper model: “I’ll wear a wig and I try to go unnoticed, but it doesn't ever work. No matter what country I go to, people recognise me and know who I am. Then again, it’s part of the business I'm in and you just have to accept that there's never gonna be any privacy."

LISA RINNA
The TV star admits she has taken her beauty regime too far and become an over-injected Juvederm fanatic.

The 45-year-old former Melrose Place regular says it occurred to her she had gone too far with the cosmetic face filler when she saw recent photographs of herself.

"I saw a picture of myself and thought, ‘Uh-oh.’ You have to be careful. I’m a perfect example of that! Says Rinna: “At my age, you have to look good if you want to continue working. Sometimes we do things to help, and I did. I had tried Botox, and then fillers came into the plastic surgery world, and you think, 'That’s not a bad idea.'

"(At first) I thought I looked great. It was a little bit more than normal, but you think it’ll go down, so I wasn’t scared. But two days ago, I saw a photo of myself at a party and went, 'Oh, jeez. I have too much filler.'"

Rinna, who rides a Triumph Bonneville, is now urging women of a certain age to use exercise as a way to look and feel young by releasing a dance fitness.

NICOLE KIDMAN
The Hollywood star admits she was stifled during her 10-year marriage to motorbike mad actor Tom Cruise, and only became an individual when they parted seven years ago.

The actress admits she was never considered a star in her own right, and was treated as an extension to the Top Gun actor.

In the wake of her divorce from Cruise, Kidman cemented her A list Hollywood status by taking the Best Actress Oscar for her role in The Hours - and she says her career soared after they split.

Kidman, who is now married to country star Keith Urban, says: "I felt I became a star only by association. I felt it was my job to put on a beautiful dress and be seen and not heard."
